TAKE ACTION

A four-year degree has never been more valuable but the financial hardship it creates for a family remains too great for many of our students to pursue upon graduation from Menlo-Atherton.  The goal of this scholarship is to target students in the Menlo-Atherton Academy program who do not have the family support or financial resources available and help them in making their college dreams a reality!

We feel that money shouldn't be the reason a child can't go to college.  This scholarship has already proven that it can and will motivate students in their quest to both attend and succeed in college by alleviating many of their financial burdens and helping to extend the "family feel" we have created beyond high school.  Your contributions go directly to the students - absolutely no administrative fees or other  nonsense.

How you're helping

You can make a significant difference in the lives of students who are part of M-A’s Computer Academy program.  If you prefer to write a check vs. donating online please make your tax-deductible donation payable to: MAHS Academy Scholarship.

Checks should be sent to Menlo-Atherton High School
attn. Chris Rubin at 555 Middlefield Road, Atherton, CA 94027.

Of Menlo-Atherton Computer Academy students qualify for a free or reduced price lunch.  That is roughly 32 seniors each year whose family's total annual income (for a family of 4) is below $47,638. We want to support them!

The annual cost for tuition, books, food, housing, transportation and personal expenses at an in state, public 4 year college.  With your help we can reduce the overwhelming cost of college for these students and their families.

The total number of graduating Hispanic students at Menlo-Atherton who met the minimum UC A-G requirements.  Only a fraction of those students attend a 4 year University!  Let's show that when a community unites, we can change these statistics!
